Nokia X3 pros:

+ Stereo FM radio with RDS; Built-in antenna
+ Stereo speakers
+ Standard 3.5mm audio jack
+ 3.2 megapixel fixed focus camera
- S40 interface feels clunky and out of date
- Some software bugs
The design:
Nokia X3 measures 96 x 49.3 x 14.1mm and weighs 103 grams. The cell phone is made of high quality and durable materials which shows at the first glance. Nokia does away with curves and goes with straight lines with its Nokia X3 phone. The front is a standard slider dominated by the 2.2-inch screen surrounded by red buttons. Below the screen is the D-pad used for managing calls. When you slide the phone open below the D-pad you can see the alphanumeric keyboard. All the keys are big enough and responsive so they are generally very comfy to use. The left side of the phone houses the microSD memory card slot, whereas the right side of the Nokia X3features the volume rocker and the camera keys. The top of the phone houses the microUSB port hidden under a cap and the 3.5mm standard audio jack. The biggest disadvantage of the Nokia X3’s design seems the screen, so if you are looking for something with a bigger screen have a look at Samsung OmniaPRO B7330, Sony Ericsson Yari.

Performance:
As always with Nokia the phone has great signal reception and in-call signal clarity. The smallish screen on the Nokia X3 disappoints with its poor viewing angles, small size and poor contrast. Even the direct sunlight legibility is disappointing for a Nokia. As the phone runs on the series 40 6th edition user interface is it highly customizable and fun to use. The user interface looks modern, it is responsive and quite quick. The phonebook can store up to 2000 contacts with 5 phone numbers and plenty of fields for additional information. Messaging is easy as always. The SMS and MMS messages share and editor which makes it easy to remember and setting up your email account on the Nokia X3 takes only a few seconds.
Multimedia:
The music player on the Nokia X3 is one of its best features which should not be surprising as it is a music mobile phone. The music player has all the essentials like album art, equalizer, support for plenty of file formats. Moreover, the sound quality is outstanding and almost matches that of an iPhone. The phone also has a radio with RDS and a built in antenna which means you do not need a headset to listen to radio.
The video player in the Nokia X3 is very simple. It does not support DivX, but only 3GP and WMV files. You can make screen captures and view videos in the full screen and that is basically it.
The 3.2 megapixel camera can shoot up to 2048 x 1536 photos and since it has no autofocus, or flash you can take photos only in daytime. Yet even in daytime the digital camera built in the Nokia X3 shoots only about average quality photos. The images tend to lack detail and there is often too much noise and when the noise reduction is on the overall image quality gets slightly worse.
Although the phone has no GPS the Nokia X3 comes with Nokia Maps which you can use for planning your routes. The maps are quite detailed and may prove useful. You can, of course, make use of a Bluetooth GPS unit to make your Nokia X3 work even better.

Nokia N97 mini cons:

- No smart dialing
- No office document editor
- No camera lens protection
The design:
Nokia N97 mini measures 113 x 52.5 x 14.2 mm and weighs 138 grams, although it might seem big and so contradict the ‚mini’ in Nokia N97 mini’s name it is in fact quite compact for a touchscreen phone. The phone is mainly made of high quality plastic, yet the battery cover is metallic. The front of the Nokia phone is dominated by the 3.2-inch touchscreen displaying 320 x 640 pixels. Below the screen is the hardware menu key, while above the display you can find the proximity sensor and ambient light detector. The right side of the Nokia N97 mini houses the camera key and the volume button, whereas the left side features the microUSB port and screen lock. On the top of the phone sits the 3.5 mm audio jack and next to it the power key. Sliding the phone open reveals the three row QWERTY keyboard. The keys might seem a bit small yet they are quite comfortable thanks to perfect spacing and responsiveness. The back of the Nokia N97 mini houses the 5 megapixel camera lens and the dual LED flash. Those are unprotected by any cover so they might get scratched easily.

Performance:
The display in Nokia N97 mini is excellent as always with Nokia phones. The colors are vivid, the image is bright and the direct sunlight does not disturb it at all. The user interface in the Nokia N97 mini is entirely touch-optimized and thanks to the fast processor and some software tweaks it all works great. With the accelerometer built-in the screen auto rotates and abundance of widgets allows for great customization. What may be annoying at times is the fact that you have to double click to open a submenu, but as it also prevents accidental mistakes it is a good solution. In fact the menu often resembles the one in Nokia 6600i slide.
The phonebook in the Nokia N97 mini has almost unlimited capacity, it is touch-optimized and very easy to use and customize. There are fields for a few phone numbers, address, emails and so on and you can still create your own fields. The call log remembers the last 20 calls in the usual tabs. The only downside of making phone call with the Nokia N97 mini is the lack of smart dialing.
Multimedia:
Image gallery on the Nokia N97 mini is just fine. It is a part of the interface and to a separate application so it works really fast. There are a few viewing modes, zooming and auto rotation so it is all quite pleasant.
The music player has a wide array of features including album art, equalizer, support of virtually any file format. There are many ways that you can browse your music library in and you can also create your own playlists. The sound quality is very good and so the Nokia N97 mini may substitute an mp3 player.
The video player is also nice but it does not support DivX/XviD videos out of the box which is a pity.
FM radio in the Nokia N97 mini supports RDS and can remember a few stations.
The 5 megapixel camera shoots up to 2592 x 1944 photos. With Carl Zeiss lens and the LED flash you can achieve pretty nice results. The images are sharp and full of details and there is not too much noise. Therefore, the Nokia N97 mini can easily substitute a digital camera for occasional shooting.
The web browser in the Nokia N97 mini renders the websites really well although it is not one of the fastest browsers on the market. Still, it can get the job done so it’s ok.

Nokia 6760 slide is a new side-sliding keyboard cell phone and it is probably the smallest one around. The phone runs Cymbal and it has clearly been designed for messaging, but that does not mean it performs weaker in other areas. Although the Nokia 6760 slide is quite small it features a 2.4” display so you can browse the Internet and watch some photos without straining your eyes too much.

Nokia 6760 slide pros:
+ Great direct sunlight legibility
+ A-GPS and Nokia maps
+ Excellent connectivity
+ 3.2 megapixel camera
+ Powerful battery
+ Interesting design

Nokia 6760 slide cons:
- The sliding mechanism in not topnotch
- Loudspeaker has rather poor quality
- No autofocus, or flash for the camera
- Poor image quality
- No Wi-Fi

The design:

The Nokia 6760 slide measures 97.6 x 58 x 15.6 mm and weighs 124 grams. The front of the phone is dominated by the 2.4” display which, unfortunately, is prone to attract fingerprints. Below the screen are a few comfortable and responsive buttons. When you slide the Nokia 6760 slide open you will see the full QWERTY keyboard with comfortable, yet a bit small keys. The sliding mechanism makes a poor impassion and you may feel as if it was going to break down with the next use. Overall, the built quality is decent, although not as goos as in the Nokia 6600i slide, or Sony Ericsson C901.

Performance:

The Nokia 6760 slide’s display although attracting fingerprints has great sunlight legibility and so it remains readable on most occasions. The Nokia mobile phone runs on Cymbal S60 3rd Edition so it might seem a bit old, yet it is still very user friendly and highly customizable with plenty of add-ons on the Internet. All the operations are made instantly, and you can get really impressed by its speed.

Multimedia:

The email setup is practically automatic so all you have to do it provide your email address and password and you’re ready to go. The integrated email client is quite handy and easily supports a few email accounts.
Browsing the Internet is very pleasant with the Nokia 6760 slide. The websites are displayed almost as they would be on a computer. As the phone connects over 3G everything works smoothly. The standard Cymbal browser supports Flash so you can watch YouTube.
The phone features a GPS receiver and a set of Ova Maps v3 which is a quite capable set and works fine.
The 3.2 megapixel camera is disappointing. The images lack detail and the colors are not very accurate. The video recording function works even worse so it clearly is not a camera-phone.
The multimedia player, on the other hand, is quite good. It supports a bunch of file formats, it is easy to use and has decent audio quality (as long as you’re not using the loudspeaker).

Conclusion:

The Nokia 6760 slide is a fast phone with user-friendly interface, decent multimedia features and low price. The weakest point of the phone is poor digital camera, but you cannot have everything. All in all, if you do not take too many photos with your phone but browse the Internet from time to time the Nokia 6760 slide might be just the right phone for you.

The design:

The signal reception and in-call sound quality are topnotch, as always with Nokia phones.
Nokia 6600i slide measures 93.0 x 45.0 x 14.2 mm and weighs 110 grams. The cell phone feels compact and although it might be a bit heavy – it is due to its metal finish which adds to its durability. The front of the Nokia 6600i slide features the 2.2” screen above which you can find the video-call camera, the earpiece and the ambient light sensor. The display has great viewing angles, yet it is not as bright as one might expect. Below the display is the D-pad with a few more keys, including Call and End keys. The key organization is commendable and comfortable. When you slide the Nokia 6600i slide open you will see the alphanumeric keypad with quite large and responsive keys. The top of the Nokia phone features the microUSB port hidden by a protective cover. Next to it is the battery cover latch and then there’s the lanyard eyelet.the bottom of the phone ice completely bare. The only thing to find on the sides of the phone is the charger plug on the right side. The back of the phone features the 5 megapixel camera lens and the dual LED flash.

Performance:

The Nokia 6600i slide runs on the Series 40 5th edition user interface so it offers quite good user experience, yet it lack certain features present on some other new phones, such as document viewer, or smart dialing. The menu structure is straightforward and the entire interface is quite customizable.
The phonebook on the Nokia 6600i slide can store up to 2000 contacts with multiple fields for a few phone numbers, address, additional information and email. Of course, you can also add the caller image and assign a ringtone. You can also voice dial without pre recording voice labels.
Messaging is very pleasant with the Nokia 6600i slide no only thanks to the comfy keypad, but also because of user friendly message editors. You can make use to the rich T9 dictionary and write messages up to 1000 characters long and they will get automatically divided into a few messages before sending. Setting up your email account couldn’t be easier as it is enough to provide your address and password.

Multimedia:

The music player on the Nokia 6600i slide is quite capable. It supports plenty of file formats and allows you for browsing you music library by artist, album, genre. You can also create your own playlists and make use of the equalizer presets and stereo widening.
The phone has also FM radio with RDS and it works very well, yet it cannot play sound through the loudspeaker.
The video player is rather basic and it does not support DivX/XviD, but only films in 3GP, or MP4 formats.
The 5 megapixel camera on the Nokia 6600i slide can take up to 2592 x 1944 photos. Unfortunately, the image quality is quite poor even if you use the manual settings. The noise is omnipresent, the images have little detail and the colors are a bit washed. In good sunlight the situation is a bit better, but still the Nokia 6600i slide is not a cameraphone.
The web browser on the Nokia 6600i slide disappoints. It fails to render the websites correctly, it does not have flash support and it’s simply annoying. If you need to use the Internet with this phone you should install Opera Mini.

Multimedia:

The music player on the Nokia 3720 classic allows you to browse your music library by artist, genre, or album. The player is very simple but what is important is the fact that the audio quality is more than acceptable. The phone has also FM radio with RDS and a very basic video player. Unfortunately, the video player supports only low quality videos.
The camera on the Nokia 3720 classic can take only up to 2 megapixel photos with fixed focus. The amount of details in the photos is acceptable, but the poor color quality makes the photos practically unusable. The video recording capability of the Nokia cell phone is even worse as the best quality offers only QCIF resolution at 11fps.

Conclusion:

If are are not a gadget maniac who need to watch DivX videos on a touchscreen phone with GPS, but you rather need a durable and hard-to-destroy cell phone the Nokia 3720 classic should be just the right choice for you.

Nokia 6700 classic is a serious-looking cell phone aimed at businessmen who do not care about full QWERTY keyboard, or a touchscreen technology. The phone features excellent connectivity, bright display and built-in GPS receiver. Moreover, the phone supports microSD memory card expansion and it ships with a 1GB included. Features such as push notifications, stylish design and durable construction prove that it would be best for businesspeople.

Nokia 6700 classic pros:
+ Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support
+ Tri-band 3G with 10Mbps HSDPA and 2Mbps HSUPA
+ Bluetooth (with A2DP) and microUSB port
+ 2.2″ 16M-color QVGA display with excellent sunlight legibility
+ S40 user interface, 6th edition
+ Built-in accelerometer sensor
+ Tap-for-time and turn-to-mute
+ 5 megapixel camera, autofocus and LED flash
+ VGA video recording at 15fps
+ Stereo FM radio with RDS

Nokia 6700 classic cons:
- No 3.5 audio jack
- No office document viewer
- No smart dialing, multi-tasking
- S40 interface feels clunky and out of date
- Poor image gallery
- No videocalling

The design:

Nokia 6700 classic measures 109.8 x 45 x 11.2 mm and weighs 113 grams which might seems quite a lot for such a phone. The phone is made of high quality stainless steel and it is not only shiny, but also fingerprint-resistant. The front of the phone features the 2.2” display with good image quality and more than decent contrast and brightens. Below the display there are four keys surrounding the D-pad and below them the alphanumeric keypad. All the buttons feel comfortable and provide nice feedback making typing quite pleasant and error free. Above the screen is the loudspeaker grill neighbored by the ambient light sensor. The right side of Nokia 6700 classic features the volume rocker and the shutter release button, whereas the left side has no buttons at all. On the bottom of the cell phone you can see the microUSB jack, the microphone pinhole and the charger plug. The top of the Nokia 6700 classic is completely plain. The back houses the 5 megapixel camera lens, LED flash and the loudspeaker grill.

Performance:

As always with Nokia there are no issues with signal reception. Also the sound is always loud and clear.
The Nokia 6700 classic uses the Series 40 6th edition user interface. Nokia has been using it for a long, long time and there are only a few novelties in this edition. Apart from the most apparent ones like the new menu icons and colors there are also some under the hood changes which improve the overall performance. There are 7 ringing profiles in the Nokia 6700 classic and you also get the flight mode. All in all, everything works very well, although the lack of multitasking is noticeable.
The phonebook in Nokia 6700 classic can store up to 2000 contacts with multiple fields for a custom ringtone, address, email and up to 5 phone numbers. You can also assign a called id photo, or short video.
Nokia 6700 classic easily handles al the most popular message types and thanks to the comfortable keypad there is little room for making mistakes. Also writing emails is very versatile and simple.

Multimedia:

As with the entire user interface, also the photo gallery is quite standard, but functional. Thanks to the built-in accelerometer the photos get rotates automatically.
The music player n the Nokia 6700 classic supports multiple file formats and provides very good sound quality. Although there is only one music player theme we can forgive that as there are 5 equalizer presets and the ability to create new ones and the sound is more important function if a music player. The FM radio has RDS but not the loudspeaker which is not that bad.
The video player in Nokia 6700 classic offers basic functionality and, unfortunately, it lacks DivX/XviD support.
The camera in the Nokia 6700 classic can shoot up to 5 megapixel photos (2592 x 1944 pixels) in very good quality. The camera might not be the fastest one around, but as you get many functions and interesting effects and, above all, great image quality this should not be a big issue. The colors are rendered very well, the sharpness is almost excellent and the noise levels are quite decent too.

Unfortunately, the Nokia 6700 classic has quite poor video recording capability, but what can you expect at VGA resolution at 15fps?
The web browser in the Nokia 6700 classic does the job. Although there is no flash support the pages are rendered quite well and thanks to some hardware and software tweaks scrolling s quite fast (although not iPhone fast). Unfortunately you can only browse website in the portrait mode.
