HTC Nexus One pros:

+ 3.7-inch AMOLED with 480×800 WVGA resolution
+ Plenty of Ram and fast processor
+ Speech to text
+ Improves UI
+ Excellent connectivity
+ Google integration
+ Pleasant design

HTC Nexus One cons:

- No mutlitouch gesture support
- Poor camera
- No voice dialling
The design:
HTC Nexus One measures 119 x 59.8 x 11.5 mm and weighs 130 grams so the phone may seem a bit heavy, but you can quickly get accustomed to it. The phone’s most prominent feature is its large, 3.7-inch screen showing 480×800 pixels. The phone is grey, but it is available in two different grey shades. there are almost no physical buttons on the HTC Nexus One. It has only the volume rocker on the left and the power button. The front of the phone also features a trackball below the screen. the back of HTC Nexus One houses the 5 megapixel camera lend and a LED flash unit on its right. slightly below is the Google logo and the the bottom the HTC. the HTC Nexus One has a simplistic, yet appealing design saying it is aimed at businessmen.

Performance:
The display in the HTC Nexus One is bright, with great contrast and abundance of colors. The direct sunlight legibility is great and using it is a real pleasure. it is simply one of the best displays on the market at the moment.
The phone runs on the Android OS 2.1. The last version tweaked the visual aspect of the OS and the 2.1 brings some new features such as Facebook integration, or Quick Contacts. But there are some new eye candy features, such as the live wallpapers for instance. Now, with the Android 2.1 you get 5 homescreens and some other small, yet handy features. With its 1GHz processor the HTC Nexus One everything happens so quickly that you will not want to use any other phone.
One more new to the Android 2.1 feature is Speech to text which means you can dictate messages (SMS, and emails). You can, of course, integrate multiple Gmail accounts with the HTC Nexus One. If you decide that text to speech is not a feature for you the virtual QWERTY keyboard should fulfill your needs.
Multimedia:
The HTC Nexus One has a refreshed Image Gallery which not has smooth animations, transitions and plenty of sorting options. The HTC Nexus One also handles videos quite nicely. It smoothly plays H.263 videos, but unfortunately the phone has no DivX/XviD support.
The 5 megapixel camera has very few options and so the camera performance is merely good and cannot compare with Motorola MILESTONE, or Nokia X3.
The music player in Android 2.1 is pretty much the same as it was in earlier versions of the OS. the sound quality is good, but nothing out of the ordinary.

The design:

The HTC Touch2 measures 104 X 55 X 12.9 mm and weighs 110 grams with battery so the phone is quite small. This, of course, means that the screen cannot be too big and in this case it measures 2.8-inch. The overall built quality of the HTC Touch2 is commendable, as is the design. So, the front of the phone is dominated by the 2.8” touchscreen displaying QVGA image, below which you can find 5 comfy hard buttons. The top of the HTC Touch2 houses the 3.5mm audio jack, whereas the bottom of the phone features the miniUSB port and the stylus compartment.

Performance:

The HTC Touch2 runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 and although the new system is not groundbreaking it offers some new features making it more pleasant to use. The homescreen is quite comfortable to use and as Microsoft didn’t care to make the icons and letters in deeper levels of ht menus bigger it’s good that you can make use of the TouchFlo software with which you can do practically anything without using the stylus. The entire interface is quite customizable, and with smooth transitions and effects.
Although the screen on the HTC Touch2 is not that big you can use the virtual alphanumeric keyboard, as well as the full QWERTY one.

<!--

Multimedia:

HTC Touch2 comes with the Opera Mobile web browser which does the job very well, although the lack of flash is noticeable. The websites are rendered well and fast and that’s the most important thing on a mobile phone.
The 3.2 megapixel camera on the HTC Touch2 simply does not do. The color saturation might be fine, but the images are often blurry (perhaps because of lack of autofocus) and as there is no flash you cannot use the camera in poor light. Moreover, the pictures lack details s they are hardly useable. The videos can be recorded in up to 320 x 240 pixels so you should not expect miracles here either.
The music player on the HTC Touch2 phone is quite pleasant and loud. You can browse your music library by artists, albums, genre, or create your own playlists. The HTC Touch2 features also radio with RDS.
The video player is also really nice and it supports DviX and XviD videos without any problem.
The HTC Touch2 has preinstalled CoPilot Live – a 15-day trial version, but still. The navigation works just fine. It has 2D and 3D models, and voice navigation, and if you somehow loose your way it will quickly recalculate it for you.

The design:

HTC Magic measures 113 x 55 x 13.7mm and weighs 118.5 grams so it is a bit smaller and lighter than the LG GW520 which apart from touchscreen also features a full QWERTY keyboard. Unlike the majority of touchscreen phones the HTC Magic is available in black and white the front of the HTC phone is dominated by the 3.2” capacitive touchscreen displaying 320 x 480 pixels. Below the display there is the trackball surrounded by 6 regular keys. Both the trackball and the keys are very comfortable and responsive. The sides of the HTC Magic feature only volume rocker, the top is bare and on the bottom there is the miniUSB port which is dissimilar with other touchscreen phone which have more on sides and less on the front screen. The back of the HTC Magic houses the 3.15 megapixel camera lens and the loudspeaker grill.

Performance:

The signal reception in the HTC Magic is good, but unfortunately the sound quality during conversation is a bit worse. Maybe not so much quality as volume which could be improved and makes it hard to make a conversation in louder surroundings.
The image quality on the touchscreen is quite good with bright colors and decent contrast. The direct sunlight legibility is very good so you can use it on a shiny day. The touchscreen on the HTC Magic is also very responsive so you will not have to press it too hard to get something done. The cell phone features a powerful, 1340 mAh Li-Ion battery which will last for hours, even if you listen to music or browse the Internet.
The HTC Magic runs a refreshed version of Android which now has on-screen full QWERTY keyboard, widgets, nice transitions and animations. The HTC Magic comes with two preinstalled widgets but you can download plenty of them from the internet. The phone also supports multitasking so you can run some applications in the background and organize your work with the task switcher.
The phonebook in the HTC Magic is capable of storing lots of information and apart from the predefined fiends for information you can create you own ones. Of course, custom ringtones can be assigned to contacts, as well as called id photos.
The HTC Magic handles all most common message types and the instant messaging is handled by Google talk. With the full landscape QWERTY keyboard and simple editor writing messages is a pleasure. The SMS and MMS share and editor which shows a character count when you approach the 160 character limit. Setting up an email client should not take even a minute so it’s all well thought out.

Multimedia:

The image gallery on the HTC Magic is quite a smart app. It automatically detects your photos and videos no matter whether they are stored on the phone, or the memory card. The photos and videos are placed in different folders in the gallery and so you can quickly access them, you can of course move them to create custom galleries. The video player is a part of image gallery and it does not offer too much functionality apart from simple playing the videos.
The music player on the HTC Magic has a bunch of features like visualization, browsing by artists, genre, album, equalizer, but there is also a new and quite interesting one. The new feature activates a menu allowing you to look up the song in YouTube, or Google search. The audio quality is quite good, although if you are an audiophile you might not find it acceptable.

The 3 megapixel camera takes photos up to 2048×1536 but since it has no flash you won’t take evening or night photos. The image quality is quite good with no oversharpening, little noise and good dynamic range.
The web browser does the job as long as Flash is not needed. You can view multiple pages and as they look as they would on a PC everything seems fine.

Conclusion:

The HTC Magic has all the goodies that a touchscreen cell phone might offer. The phone handles making phone calls seamlessly, the music player is good, as is the Internet browsing experience. With good messaging the biggest downside of the HTC Magic is probably the lack of office document support.
